As part of the 2016 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival’s (VAMFF) Cultural Program, Fred Hates Fashion hosted an artistic exhibition coined the ‘Dark Social.’
The exhibition, held at the coveted L1 Studios in the heart
of the Melbourne CBD, brought together “progressive minds” of the fashion, film and art industries showcasing different bodies of work from projections, film and art instillations.

We were fortunate enough to be showcased at the event, exhibiting a minimalistic, graphic instillation. A cube inside another cube, framed our suspended garments, which in its entirety, seemed to be floating in the vast, white room. Spotlights strategically placed in the centre of the room played with the outlines of the cubes, casting multiple shadows over every wall in the room, filling the space with
a dance of lines and shapes.
